It gives us immense pleasure to introduce Renewable & Alternative Energy Association of Pakistan (REAP), the very first registered Association in the field of Renewable Energy, of Pakistan. REAP, is a membership based, non political, non governmental, non profit and non sectarian association and is committed to reduce national dependence on conventional energy resources, uplift a pollution free clean environment for our future generations by fetching a revolutionary environmental change, mentoring in the country,
REAP is openly working to provide a plate form for all stake holders and the donors, in particular, to come forward and take part in the sacred mission of plummeting the dependency on national resources. Due to heavy scarcity of energy resources, i.e. Electricity & Gas, the citizens are confronting with great difficulties and the Government has a serious challenge of energy deficit, which could only be resolved by utilizing the Renewable Energy resources.
REAP believes in the enormous scope of alternative energy in the country, however, unfortunately, there is no specific institution exists in the country, to meet the requirement, for the capacity building on Renewable Energy Sector, resulting lack of skilled work force.
To meet the requirement of skilled force in Renewable Energy Sector, REAP, with the help of other aid agencies, arranges practical trainings to facilitate the growing industry of renewable energy on sustainable basis. REAP has extremely successful events of SWH training (Supported by GTZ & AEDB) at Islamabad and Expo (Supported by WWF, AEDB & GTZ) at Nathiagali, on its credit. REAP is sincerely planning to establish institutes for Capacity Building, Advocacy and Training Program of Renewable Energy Technology, on grassroots level and to develop low cost methodology for the installation of renewable alternate energy technology.

But unrevealing the visionary objectives and program of the formation of society in detail. Formation of the Renewable Energy Society was carefully planned to break the awareness barrier in the country about alternative resources of energy. The first three letters of Society name i.e. RESEARCH reflects the name (Renewable Energy Society) while the last five letters RESEARCH describes the actual methodology of the target to achieve through Education, Awareness, Research & Community Help.
Today as a renewable energy society we are technically tagged with global renewable energy stakeholders and activities and committed for the prosperity and wellbeing of R.E industry in the country. On the other hand through education, awareness, research and community help we are socially present on gross root level as the community is the heart and soul of R.E Industry and people in Pakistan.
Alhamdulliah! Today we are technically, socially and practically present in the country at gross root level and “Renewable Energy” is no more illegible name in the country. We are the only Renewable Energy Body in world, working on education, awareness, research and emphasizing on community help. We also have the privilege to be the first to protest on human rights violation in the country. The Sialkot incident was first reported as the Solidarity Day with victims by RESEARCH.
RESEARCH as U.N partner is everywhere in the country to help flood victims , we through our partner NGOs and civil society members are present in KPK, Punjab, Baluchistan and Sindh, our fist technical institute on RE will shortly be inaugurated by the CEO (A.E.D.B) in Rawalpindi
We have done our job under limited resources and now we are looking forward to your world renowned honor to lead us to uplift our profile .The posharp support could be an asset to raise our flood relief efforts and future ventures and your high valued organizations will boost up our technical capabilities to achieve the above mention target of energy sufficiency in the country
