I am a dealer for a company that leases residential PV for 25 years.- The only upfront cost is the $500 refundable, interest-bearing deposit. No installation or purchase cost!- The installer's engineer designs a system for the house that meets the annual power consumption needs and is suitable for the physical structure. The deposit is paid after the homeowner signs off on the design.- Power is interchanged with the grid, so initially there are no storage devices. If there is a change noticed in monitoring, that will be brought to the HO's attention so an adjustment can be made.- By putting power into the grid during the day, ie, the peak usage period, the need for new power plants is obviated. Everyone can participate and make a difference for minimal cost.- No tax credits or pollution credits are needed to motivate the HO!
